There was some discussion on the mailinglist about which distributions to support.
from the list: apparently el2 gets 'maintenance' support until 2009 May 31, see http://www.redhat.com/security/updates/errata/ . El3 goes until 2010 October 31.
- Some persons currently make rpms for older unsupported distributions like RH9.
- We could make a distinction between 'primary' distributions like rhel5, 'maintenance/best effort' distributions like rhel2 and 'provided as is' distributions like RH9.
